Lady Thor Corset Top 2

Since the premiere of the movie Thor 2, I can now start uploading the few photos I have from my Lady Thor commission.
It's quite a different take on Thor or Lady Thor designs, which it was supposed to be recognizable as Thor but be something totally its own. So, don't fuss over accuracy here, it's not supposed to look like any of the known designs. It was just supposed to be worn as part of an interpretation of Thor so it's my own design just in the colours of red and blues. Also, due to time constraints I don't have a good finished photo of any of this costume, as you can see, the shoulders are still pinned to the form.

This is the custom fitted corset top, the Thor style discs are removable and were made after this photo was taken so they are not shown. The top is made from upholstery vinyl and double reinforced rolled seams. It was HAND SEWN, yes, I sewed the ENTIRE thing by hand with a double seam onto the customized mannequin and then used a sewing machine to reinforce the stitching by doing another rolled seam. This costume had to stand up to performing for kiddies and walking the halls of cons and the Hollywood movie premiere. It also has a removable piece to cover the cleavage area for the children's events.

This entire costume almost wasn't. There is a long an epic story that goes with it were there were many sacrifices made, things that happened that should have and a huge pile of wrenches that just kept getting thrown into the works at every step for everyone involved. THIS is one of those costumes that is not JUST a 'costume'.
