Ochere and Burgundy Lace Choker w/ Handpainted Fan

Lace choker measures 12 inches long and is adjustable up to 17 inches with chain. Closes with a nickel-free metal lobster claw clasp.

All my translucent cabochons are individually cast in jewelry grade polyester resin then once fully cured are cleaned with an Exacto blade, filed and buffed. Each are hand painted in the reverse glass painting method using various enamels and epoxy enamels which chemically fuse with the resin, they are then backed with enamel and metal foils and sealed with a crystal clear non-yellowing spray on protective coating which reduces the occurrence of nicks and scratches.

Each choker is made with 3-4 feet of hand gathered authentic vintage lace that has been dyed in custom made fabric colours in batches of only 3-5 yards. Once washed, the dyes have been heat set for further colour retention and adherence to the lace.


Almost all of the lace and ribbons I have used in these chokers are left over from my mother making handmade porcelain dolls when I was little, they are authentic vintage pieces in that they are over 20 years old and no longer made. All other lace and trims are 20-40 years old, so again, I can no longer purchase more, what I have is all there is unless I happen to stumble on more in old fabric shops or in auctions.
